Import

You can comfortably import already existing data in Password Safe. The "import assistant" helps you with the individual steps of the import. You can call up import via the menu "file" -> "Import".

Form data (passwords, etc.)

With the "form data import" you can for example import a CSV file (values separated by comma) to Password Safe. Also export files of external products can be imported directly. Each import is made to an opened database.

At the CSV import special arrays can be added. "Folders (category)", "comments" and "own arrays" are available. Via the special array "category" folder structures can be read in. The folders need a separator (like for example ->).

Example array content for folder structure:

Folder 1 -> subfolder 1 -> subfolder 1.1

Right management (users and groups)

Existing right structures, groups and users including their affiliations can be imported to Password Safe. This facilitates the configuration and the setup of several similar databases with the same users, so for example the new readout of of the Active Directory is no longer necessary.

Notice:

PSX data backups can only be imported at the setup of a new database ("database assistant").
