New

FullClient

  • In the report type “Password Age”, the creation date of the passwords is also displayed.
  • Instead of the numbers, the corresponding number of dashes is displayed for covered one-time passwords.
  • An external link to a one-time password field copies the corresponding token to the clipboard.

WebClient

  • When creating or editing passwords, documents, organizational units, roles or forms, new tags can be created or existing ones selected.
  • When creating new passwords, both the organizational unit and rights templates can be selected. When editing passwords, only the organizational unit can be selected. If you change the organizational unit, the rights of any rights template overwrite the existing rights of the password.

LightClient in the Web View

  • When creating or editing passwords, documents, organizational units, roles or forms, new tags can be created or existing ones selected.
  • If you are in the tab of the main organizational unit (all passwords), new passwords can also be created from there.
  • When creating and editing passwords, new tags can be created or existing ones can be selected. In addition, several tags can be assigned to a password at the same time in the Tag Management.
  • If you create a new password in a tab, the organizational unit of the tab and – if available – the corresponding rights template is displayed. If the password is then created under an organizational unit other than the one of the tab, the password is not displayed in the tab.
  • The tab “Main organizational unit” was renamed to “All passwords”. In this tab, passwords can now also be created using the “+” button familiar from other tabs.
  • Passwords can be moved to other organizational units. The rights of the passwords are overwritten by the rights the organizational unit has based on a rights template.
  • Passwords can be moved to other organizational units via an entry in the context menu. The password is then no longer displayed in the open tab.
  • If passwords are edited, you can now select organizational units to which the passwords should be moved.

AdminClient

  • When you set up your iOS or Android app, you must select the “List in database list for mobile devices” checkbox in the database settings for a database in host mode to appear in the list of available databases.

Password Safe App

  • The apps for Android and iOS support one-time password functionality.
  • When creating and editing passwords via the iOS or Android app, you can also select organizational units and rights templates.

API

Server

FullClient

  • Unnecessary spaces in the notification configuration settings have been removed.
  • When creating a new form the ribbon elements “Permissions”, “Form field permissions” and “Configure info” are hidden.
  • In the “Configuration” category of the user settings, the main organizational structure can no longer be selected as default organizational unit.
  • When configuring RDP applications, “Desktop width” and “Desktop height” may only be editable if the “Scale when resizing” option is activated.
  • If you use the TAB key to jump to the drop-down menu for selecting the field type and change it using the arrow keys, the field name is automatically changed accordingly.
  • When editing users in the organizational structure the language icon in the ribbon shows the actually selected language.
  • If a user without authorization wants to uncover a password field and ignores the note asking for authorization for authorized users, the password field remains covered.

  • You cannot create multiple tabs with the same organizational unit.

OfflineClient

  • Changes to the expiry date of a database are saved and synchronized correctly.
  • The tabs with the results of the quick search in the OfflineClient can be closed.
  • If the number of records is less than the value defined in the option “Number of initially loaded records”, the OfflineClient shows the actual number of records. Otherwise the defined value is displayed.
  • When opening a password in the OfflineClient with the appropriate rights, no error message is displayed.

Add-on

  • The SSO agent automatically inserts the logon data from the offline database into the corresponding applications.
  • Only one logon window can be open at a time for the SSO agent.

AdminClient

  • During the first installation of the AdminClient, the system checks whether the necessary database could be created when saving the basic configuration. If this was not possible, the basic configuration is not saved and an error is displayed and you can check the settings again.
  • The “Admin role” is translated correctly when creating a database using an English template.
  • The proxy settings for Yubico can be changed in the AdminClient.
  • Users with two-factor authentication enabled cannot log in to the AdminClient. A corresponding error message appears.
  • The error message if the DB-Admin removes himself from an organizational unit and wants to save these changes has been modified.
  • Only log entries are sent that were created after the forwarding rule was created.

Server

  • In “end-to-end” mode during Active Directory import, the rights are inherited correctly according to the organizational unit in which an imported user is located.
  • A deactivated but still valid license can also be reactivated via the setup wizard.
  • In case of an unsuccessful password reset the corresponding error messages are displayed.

Password Safe App

  • During the initial login to the Password Safe App, the password field is greyed out for a certain time if the wrong access data is entered. Only after this time can the password be entered again.
  • Changing the password in the Password Safe app after being prompted caused an error that caused the app to crash. The password can now be changed without any problems after a prompt.
  • Newly created passwords in a user’s organisational unit in the Password Safe App are not synchronised with the server if the right “Can create personal data records” has been deactivated in the meantime.
  • In the Password Safe App, when a one-time password is displayed, the first and last three digits are separated by a space.
  • The Password Safe App for iOS supports databases with 20,000 records and more.
  • In Password Safe App for iOS, a web page with a one-time password will not display an error message if it is not configured.
  • The AutoFill function for the Password Safe App for Android has been optimized.
  • When creating a new database profile in the Password Safe App for Android, all existing passwords are synchronized correctly. When a web page is called, the corresponding password is suggested.
  • Passwords generated in the Password Safe App for Android and synchronised with the Password Safe Server are automatically entered by the autofill of the app on the corresponding web pages.

Add-on

  • The two-tier registration for the website “https://signin.techsmith.com” now also works with the browser add-on for Google Chrome and Safari.
  • Even if the WebClient session has expired, passwords can still be created in the WebClient via the browser add-on.
  • A two-tier password is entered via the add-on when connected to the add-on via the SSO agent.
  • The Internet Explorer add-on is no longer supported and is no longer available with version 8.11.
