One or more users should have access to a record, but not to the password field.

A data record must exist.

Required user rights

  • Can manage password form fields
  • Read and authorization right on the data record

First a data set must be selected. Then, right-click on the record to open the form field permissions.

Now you can decide for which form fields the permissions should apply. If these should apply to the password field, this must also be selected.

Tip: Several fields can also be selected simultaneously using Multiselect.

Next, the permissions can be set as desired. If a user is already authorized to the record with read permission, he or she is already here. If it is now desired that the user is not allowed to see the password field, he must be removed from the permissions. After the desired changes have been made, the whole thing must be confirmed with Save.

If it has now been configured correctly, the user who is not allowed to have access to the password field will have the following view:

Now the user has the possibility to request the right by clicking on the icon in the form field. Afterwards the permission request can be confirmed.

This request for rights can now be confirmed by a sufficiently authorized user. This is done via the module Permissions. Therefore the authorization for the module Notifications is also required.

The release is then carried out by confirming the rights request. For this, the requesting user must be granted the right manually.

Thus the user now also has access to the form field Password.
