What is the HTML WebViewer export?

This type of export extracts selected records from the database and protects them with a password. The output format is an AES-256 encrypted HTML file. The above-mentioned password is issued as part of the wizard.

(Additional) requirements for the use of the HTML WebViewer export

In addition to the already mentioned requirements, a separate user right exists for the WebViewer export under the “Security” category and this needs to be held by the user.

The WebViewer export wizard

The wizard guides the user through all configurations up to the creation of the HTML file.

You can define a diverse range of variables for the export in the Settings. The password corresponds to a value that must be known by the recipients of the file in order to open it. Once the file has been opened, the time until logout defines the time period until which the file will be closed in the event of inactivity. The password will then need to be re-entered. The Export filter defines which passwords will be exported based on the configured filter criteria. The configuration can be set in the same way as the filter for the client. The Finish button concludes the process and displays the estimated number of records to be exported.

The resulting HTML file can then be sent and opened in any browser. The timer on the top edge of the screen shows the remaining time until the file is closed due to inactivity.
