The Password Safe Web Access must be installed on a Windows Server operating system. This server can be a physical or a virtual server. Administrator rights are required for the installation and configuration.

 

Operating systems:

Windows Server 2003 (32Bit & 64 Bit)

Windows Server 2008 R2 (32Bit & 64 Bit)

Windows Server 2012 (32Bit & 64 Bit)

 

Main memory

The server should be operated with a minimum of 2 GB RAM (4 GB RAM is recommended). Depending on the working load, the main memory (RAM) should be increased.

 

CPU:

Password Safe is multi-core capable. In order to optimally distribute and utilise the load and performance, the server should be operated using multiple CPU's (minimum of 2; a quad core CPU is recommended).

 

Hard disk storage:

The size of the hard disk should correspond to the content saved to the database (documents and records). An empty database is approximately 1.5 MB.

 

Network connection:

The network connection should be at least 10MBit/s (1 GBit/s is recommended)

 

Important:

The service only starts with a valid licence file.

 

Web server - Internet Information Services (IIS):

The Password Safe Web Access is installed on a web server. A functional version of Internet Information Services (IIS) is required. Please note that both the ISAPI extensions and the ISAP filter must also be installed.

 

Password Safe Enterprise Server:

It is essential that a fully-functional and activated copy of Password Safe Enterprise Server from Version 7 is installed. You can find further information in the help function for the Enterprise Server.
