Active Directory access - NATIVE With the native access only the server name is required to read out the users and groups from the Active Directory.
Active Directory settings: Activate authentication: This option causes that imported users can log on Password Safe with the Windows login (Windows login/Windows password). Therefore it is not necessary to give away a password in the Password Safe right management.
Notice: If a user wants the data to be portable via USB stick he/she should additionally set the Password Safe password, in case no connection can be set up to the Active Directory server. The password can be configured under "file" -> "my profile" -> "change my password". Alternatively the password can also be configured in the right management.
Activate automatic user login: The activating of the "automatic user login" causes that the users with the Windows user name will be validated and through this will be automatically logged in at Password Safe. Therefore it is not necessary to enter the user data manually.
Synchronize existing entries at the import: Already imported users and groups will be updated at the import.
Link existing users with Active Directory user (with the help of the user name): At this already existing Password Safe users will be linked with the Active Directory user with the help of the user name. The Password Safe user will be turned into an Active Directory user so to speak and will be adapted with the accordant data from the Active Directory. The link-up can be deleted at the user editing under the tab "Active Directory" with the button "Delete Active Directory identification". Afterwards the user acts as a normal Password Safe user.
Screen (only with LDAP access): The LDAP screen shows all readout objects in a list. By means of the search in the below array of the window you can search for readout objects.
